Local Love Letter

Hello Toronto.

I want to say thank you for your help, your products, your support, your love.

There are a few key businesses, friends, supporters and all-around rad people we have had the privilege of meeting over the last year. Earlier this year we sent out some hand-written postcards to a few amazing entrepreneurs we really admired in this city. In keeping with the spirit of those cards  I want to acknowledge the work, contribution and just fabulousness of a few great people. Where is the love? It's right here, the love is right here.

Shout outs

Robert Mulolo,

thank you for your stories. Your imagination goes to some sick and wonderful places. J.D. Salinger said "What really knocks me out is a book that, when you're all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it. That doesn't happen much, though.” I'm lucky.

Arlene Paculan,

thank you for your inspirational lyrics. I still have your "I'm worth it" pin. You have always been a multi-talented artist and athlete. I have always admired you, you don't know how much.

Natalie 'Sugar' Brown,

thank you for teaching me how to tap into my competitive spirit. You taught me that life is like a boxing ring every day you wake up so you may as well fight since you're already in the match.

Q and Shu of Sherpa Motorcycle Tours,

thank you for your adventurous spirits. You show people how to be open to adventure and disciplined enough to afford it. Everything you teach, you live by example. I look forward to the day I'm riding a motorcycle on of your tours.

Desiree D'Aguiar of Winifred Taylor,

thank you for your youthful creativity and fearlessness. You are an inspiration to young, creative, female entrepreneurs. You are an example of the next generation of business woman and the future looks bright.

Kadian Blake,

thank you for being an encourager, friend and sartorial soul-mate. You are the match that has lit my fun on fire. You taught me that loving what you do is truly possible.

Wing-yee Chung of WYC Creative,

wind beneath my wings. You are the consummate business woman, encourager, friend and graphic design DIVA.  I am excited about our, past, present and future projects. Onward and upward! Teamwork is the best!

Cassandra,

you have more design talent in you than you even know. You are a future design star. Thank you for letting me get a glimpse of what you can do. I will never forget what you did for Black Leopard. Whenever you're ready there will always be work for you.

Sauvage,

I love everything in your store. You sell the clothes I want to live in and project the woman I want to be: classy, stylish, edgy, fun.

Coffee and Cheesecake,

thank you for consistently encouraging women to encourage each other. Your event was our first and we are proud and grateful to be part of your movement. I am sure your networking event this December will be well worth it. #womensupportingwomen
